Community Bike Ride Opportunities

Winamac - Wednesdays
Meet @ 5:45, Ride @ 6:00 p.m.

A fun evening bicycle ride in Winamac, Pulaski County. Meet at the old train depot and community parking lot at the corner of Logan & Main Streets in downtown Winamac at 5:45 p.m. with ride beginning at the striking of the court house clock tower- six bells.  Ride generally leaves on the Panhandle Pathway heading south to the small town of Thornhope.  After a short rest to munch on peanuts and shoot the breeze, they head back north to Winamac.  Afterwards many riders head over two blocks to One Eyed Jack's (southeast corner of Market & Pearl Streets) for refreshments, food and socializing.  It's fun, and everyone with the will to pedal is welcome.


Rochester - Thursdays
Meet @ 5:30 p.m., Ride @ 6:00 p.m.

Meet at Webb's Family Pharmacy's back parking lot every Thursday @ 5:30 with the ride starting at 6:00 p.m. during the summer months. Routes for beginner and intermediate bicyclists available. This is a leisurely, comfortable ride that allows riders to socialize and enjoy the beauty of the community.


Peru - Second Saturdays
Meet and Ride @ 5:00 p.m.

Breakaway will be hosting a family bike ride along the Riverwalk. Bring the kids and plan to make laps in a safe environment for the little ones!



Logansport- Tuesdays
Meet and Ride @ 6:00 p.m.

Join the 2R2W weekly bike ride leaving from the west end of the River Bluff Trail on Michigan Avenue in Logansport (south of Memorial Hospital) . Be ready to roll at 6:00 with your helmet and a properly working bicycle. All experience levels and bicycles are welcome. We will ride approximately 15 miles on a "no drop" route. This is a great opportunity to have fun, log some miles and gain experience in a group setting. Then for those interested in more miles at a faster pace, we typically ride an additional 10-15 miles at a faster pace (approx 15 mph ave).


Wabash- Wednesdays
Ride @ 6:00 p.m.

Meet at Wabash YMCA. Best suited for road bikes with an average speed of 15 mph. Must be able to maintain a pace of 17-18 mph. Distances are 25+ miles.
