Weekly Community Ride Opportunities

Peru- Mondays
Meet @ 5:45, Ride @ 6:00 p.m.

Led by ladies this is a “no drop” ride to encourage more women to ride. Weather-permitting, they leave from Breakaway Bike Shop at 6:00 p.m. If you have never ridden in a group, this is a great place to start and to learn valuable group riding skills. It also gives you an opportunity to meet other female riders of similar ability.   Ride pace and length varies and is determined based on participants. Suitable for road and hybrid bikes.

A fun evening bicycle ride in Winamac, Pulaski County. Weather-permitting, meet at the old train depot and community parking lot at the corner of Logan & Main Streets in downtown Winamac at 5:45 p.m. with ride beginning at the striking of the court house clock tower- six bells.  Ride generally leaves on the Panhandle Pathway heading south to the small town of Thornhope.  After a short rest to munch on peanuts and shoot the breeze, they head back north to Winamac.  Afterwards many riders head over two blocks to One Eyed Jack's (southeast corner of Market & Pearl Streets) or Tippy's (123 N. Market) for refreshments, food and socializing.  It's fun, and everyone with the will to pedal is welcome.
